I’ve seen the question you asked on Stack Overflow — which I think is a better forum than this one for such questions.

I’m not especially familiar with webpack’s tree shaking and when it is or isn’t applied, but the bottom line is that this is an issue that should be easy for tools to deal with. I don’t think that it’s reasonable to foist complicated import locations onto developers — as was the case in v5 — the tools should just be able to deal with it.
